BIOGRAPHY
Over the course of his career, Stephen Michael Garey has created and managed advertising and business communications programs for some of the world’s best known companies, including AOL, Disney, CBS, General Electric, Apple, Xerox, Honda, Barr Pharmaceuticals, Tupperware & many others.
He has spent the majority of his career serving advertisers, ad agencies & design firms in New Jersey, New York City and Los Angeles.
Stephen majored in advertising at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ, and has taught photography, multimedia concept and design, copywriting and art direction at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA; the University of Southern California, Los Angeles; and the Art Institute, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Stephen was a founding member of the Los Angeles Creative Club and served as a member of its board of directors for two years. He also founded the nation's first design firm dedicated to serving environmental clients exclusively. Clients of the firm included Evergreen Recycled Oil, Wearable Integrity, Zond Windpower, the Environmental Literacy Group and GreenEarth Liquid Assets. For this effort, Stephen was included in the Dow-Jones business book, "Second to None: People Who Have Made a Difference."
Stephen and his work have been featured in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal and on CNN. Over the years, he has received numerous national and international awards for creative excellence.
